Notes as to why dual core can be useful:

• Things will “feel” smoother running on the PC
• Ability to multiprocess properly
• Bragging rights if you get the P4EE dual core, 8 CPU usage bars in Task Manager
• Encoding videos would not hog up the PC too much that you acn’t do anything else, like watching another video
• Run many, many, many instances of Folding@Home
• With enough ram, run many, many, many windows, programs all at once, and swtich between them with ease
• All in one little chip package

Now if only the AMD64 dual core CPUs were much cheaper, they’d be worth buying…
